One of the aspects of the Photographer Rebel Badge is to create an exhibition of at least 20 photos. I mean, individually they've all been digitally exhibited as part of proper in person exhibitions round the world. I just haven't got as high as being printed. Having said that, the first image in this compilation is the only one that's been included in an online magazine article.
Let me put this all into context. I saw an advert on Instagram for a photography game called Guru Shots. It's all a bit of fun, you upload photos based on a challenge theme to get votes. Other photographers will decide whether they like the images you've submitted. In certain challenges, the theme is for exhibitions. That's where these images ended up. I'm afraid it'd take me a long time going back through it all to find which exhibitions they were in or which challenge, but all the images reached the highest level or popularity, that is to say, in the top whatever percent. I've never won any of the challenges and only on a few occasions gotten into the top 30, 20 or 10%.
I had to stop playing last year because I couldn't trust myself to ignore the exhibition challenges. I was signed off to have spinal surgery and was off long enough to end up on half pay. The exhibition challenges have a payment to participate in the exhibitions and I didn't trust myself to just ignore the exhibition challenges and stick with the free ones.
But hey, I'm back at work now and returning to full pay this month so who knows? Perhaps I'll have more exhibited images coming in the future.
So I hope you like my images. They all have titles and where the images were taken and, if I remembered, when.
You may notice several of the images were taken at Royal Armouries Fort Nelson. I have most access to potential photography subjects there as it's where I work!
