Every blog needs a first post

 Welcome to my Blog.

I recently discovered the Rebel Badge Book, activity / merit badges designed for adults and as a Scout Leader who wishes she could have more badges like the Young People I lead, this was really up my street.

One of these badges is the Writer badge which encourages me to write a blog so here goes. This will be a record of how I do on my different badges, but also I'll probably end up sharing updates on my cross stitch projects, games, how I'm feeling about goings on, the usuals. Some of my regular activities cover badge things as well.

I'm really looking forward to really getting stuck into all of this!

So, to start with, I'm going to make a list of the badges I have current intentions of completing.

I'm aware that I haven't necessarily checked off enough in each category to earn the section patch, but I'm going to focus first on the ones I'm certain I want to do.

Some of them I've already completed. I've been a Scout Leader for 12 years so I think I can say I've covered the Community Service one! I've had pets since I was a teenager so Animal Lover is done.

As for others, things like Photographer I just need to do a few little projects. I've had several photos digitally exhibited and been photographer at several weddings too.

But anyway, thanks for reading my first post.
